Tottenham ferry lane, nearly sucked into the turbines.
Too hot to sit outside, all we could do is draw the blinds and channel the heat into the tune we'd crafted over the last 3 hours.
This day was beyond biblical.
It was a pagan holiday for LJB; it was messier than last drinks in the hall of Valhalla.”
Outback was born.

These words are from Lady Jane Beach, a London duo that's named itself after an infamous nudist beach in Sydney.


With a pulsing, eighth-note bass line driving it forward, and a story of being overheated,
Outback is not about Australia. Instead, it captures the sweaty scent of a hot afternoon at the bands London headquarters, a long way away from sun baking in Sydney.
And with this, their debut release, Lady Jane Beach have set the tone for more charming oddities to come.


You could write a book about the characters who wrote this track. They could write the book too – either way Lady Jane Beach have captured something truly unique, and we’ve got plans to share it with you across a series of releases, this year and next.
